A Birthday Surprise - A Timeline of You

Welcome back to another week my darlings.  The Big A's birthday is coming up so I've been searching for inspiration all over town.  Loving this idea from Dandee.  Her fab friends Kirsten and Lindsay created a birthday banner with vintage photos of Danyelle.  The pics were hand delivered by Danyelle's friends and family with a little note from each person attached to their photo.  I love the way the idea would build up over time.  So clever!

A Sewing Project I Want To Try

Isn't this baby blanket just darling? Lena Corwin (a fab blogger if you get the chance to visit) got this little beauty for mothers day. Its indian inspired with three layers - an indian block print and then a thin white gauze on either side. Dying right?

Tis the Season

The countdown to Christmas is on! Visit A Fields Journal for this festive paper garland tutorial. I think I could do something like this hanging off every chair around the dinner table for Christmas lunch. You could even mix it up with different coloured paper or ribbons. How darling!

A Clever Birthday Present Idea

Whenever someone in my family has a birthday, we have a tradition of going round the table and saying something nice about them. So imagine my surprise when i saw this little birthday tradition idea on the Design Sponge guest blog. Brooke from InchMark has a tradition within her family of picking each letter of the alphabet and saying something nice about the person. B is for Beautiful! C is for caring! ... you get the drift. Now you can download a template to make your own alphabet pack. This would make a really sweet present for someone.
