When I have guests over I love to find ways to make even the most mundane of things feel special.  Take for example a humble glass of water, I love to dress it up with a sprig of mint just for something different.  What's your favourite entertaining trick?

Easy Ways to Get the Industrial Look at Your Next Event

My darlings, I'm so excited to share this event I styled over the weekend with you.  The brief was to create an industrial chic dinner party for a super fun birthday girl's dinner at eatery Bloodwood. It's easier than you think to get the look, so, lets break it down step by step for you! As a base I started building some natural elements - the gorgeous wooden table, natural linen place mats and fun accents like ferns and flowers.  The next step was to add some glass elements - mini milk bottles, artwork suspended in terrarium style jars, fairy lights wrapped in tissue paper installed in more terrarium style jars.  Lastly it was time to add some fun accents - letter montages, super cute chalk board name tags and  multicoloured toxteth chairs for pops of industrial colour.

Gwyneth Paltrow's Easter Lunch Table Setting

Easter is nearly here and this weekend is the perfect time to start planning your Easter lunch.  I'm going to be taking my inspiration from Gwyneth Paltrow and her table scape she created for Remodelista (PS - I have such a big crush on Gwyneth, please can we be BFFs?)  She choose a fresh take on traditional and the colour palate of robin's egg blue, lilac, pale pink and white.  There are SO MANY details I love  - the egg name tags, the potted pansies in the bowl and the long tapered candles.  I mean seriously, it is so beautiful!!! What inspiration are you picking up on for your Easter table?

Weather Balloons Done Differently

6Thinking about doing weather balloons? How about this then? Instead of just the normal string attaching the ballon and the weight why don't you also add some detail below. I love how over on Oh Joy! they've added the circular shape underneath to repeat the shape for interest.

Tissue Paper Pom Poms

Tissue Paper Pom Poms. I've been thinking about them alot since my last post.  Today, it's all about Pom Pom's en masse. You don't need to stop at an individual pom pom for your wedding or party, think about how they can be used in large groupings with lanterns and embellishments to create a focal point to die for. You Too Could Easily Do These Party Favours

Okay readers, so you know that a CD of songs is a classic favour for a party or wedding. Well the clever ladies of Head vs Heart took it up a notch with this beautifully designed casing, inspired by the sounds of NY (the destination for this wedding) each set was packaged in a yellow bakery bag and then sealed with a ribbon and a tag they made especially for the day. Loves, just loves.

We don't just do weddings!

Whilst Reviva Weddings are obviously associated with planning, styling and creating fabulous weddings, we are stylists for all occasions and often turn our hands to other celebrations.

Last night was no exception and we were hired by a family vacating here in a private villa situated in the Marbella Club.

Our brief was to descend upon the villa last night whilst the family were out having a celebration dinner at the fabulous restaurant Babilonia at Olivia Valere, and turn the villa into a beautifully decorated birthday surprise for when the mother returned with her family.

I have to confess we felt like stalkers creeping in at 10pm and within 2 hours the transformation was completed!

We had completely decorated the villa with flowers, lanterns and candles and fabulous balloon displays.

Here is the text message we received in the early hours of this morning after the family had returned.

Hello Laura!  Thank you so much for the lovely decoration.  My mother was overwhelmed with joy when we got back home.   The flowers, candles and balloons are amazing!  Thank you, the both of you, for this breathtaking setting.

This is unforgettable birthday and I shall definitely be contacting you for any future events.

I hope to see you again real soon.

I could never do this solo so a huge thank you to my fantastic team of professionals, Loraine for the fabulous flowers and to Silvia for the wonderful balloons :)  I was playing the skivvy, sweeping up and fetching and carrying :) 

Chopard Moroccan Party at Marbella Club

Hot or what!

Here we are decorating the Marbella Club's Chiringuito for the Chopard Jewellery Morrocan Night.

Just when we thought we were going to have a quiet August, the phone starts ringing!

Carlos from Lipara Productions needed our help with putting this amazing Moroccan party together, not only completely covering the chiringuito with fabrics but needed a stylist on board for the day plus our team to complete this party within 4 hours, by the time our team had finished it looked amazing. We were thrilled and the decorations Carlos and his wife has supplied for us to use were really something else. A huge effort and we have to go back tonight to clear down so drinking lots of coffee! x

Party Inspiration

I fell in love with these images found on Once Wed, with their new look blog (fab) created by stylist Joy Thigpen. This to me somes up a perfect get together with friends under a beautiful display of lanterns, reminds me of the Mamma Mia film sitting under the candles, wonderful. Think the staple gun will have to get to work soon on my terrace ceiling! I love these photos shoots though, notice from a stylists point of view that all the wine glasses have been filled to exactly the same height, as if! Wonderful we need more of these beautiful settings.

Tropical theme Suite Del Mar Puente Romano

This Tropical theme was designed for this fabulous dinner party held at

the Suite del Mar at Puente Romano.

Here we used the lime greens and oranges again, a popular colour scheme and incorporated baby pineapples, oranges and limes, decorations on the napkins, lime chair sashes, candles and chocolate table linens to pull the whole look together.
